HANDMADE CARPET
Vlisco has been designing & manufacturing distinctive fabrics loved by African women since 1846. In collaboration with Droog Design, the idea came up to make a product from Vlisco remaining pieces of fabric. This resulted in the weaving of a carpet.
THE C-WORD

“The C Word”
In 2020 the C-word hit the world. During the lockdown I started working on this 30x40cm still life; a multimedia print of absurd and not so absurd things we thought we needed to survive. Pasta/sauce, Toilet paper, A measuring tape (1.50m) for keeping your distance, a face mask. And garlic to chase away “vampires” (bats)... who started this whole thing. A still life to remind us of this weird period.
